Area golf courses open with restrictions

Lead Summary

The Coronavirus has shut down many different businesses and organizations in and around New Hampton. However, one activity people can still enjoy during this pandemic is golf, as many courses in the area opened last week with certain restrictions. This includes New Hampton Golf and Country Club, Jackson Heights Golf Course, Nashua Town and Country Club and Plum Creek Golf Course.
“It’s a good way for people to get exercise,” New Hampton Golf and Country Club course manager Karen Amundson said. “It’s something to do that takes your mind off of things.”
New Hampton Golf and Country Club is enforcing social distancing and sanitation guidelines set by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to try to keep the golfers safe from COVID-19.
