Chickasaw boys rally on the road

Lead Summary

New Hampton was on the wrong end of a 42-33 score with three minutes left in the third quarter of its game with Waukon Friday night.
“Basically, you have two directions you can go,” New Hampton coach Ryan Rausch said. “We could rush things and be down 18 or we could stay patient, double down on defense and started the fourth quarter on a 9-2 run to take a 53-49 lead. The Chickasaws never trailed again, although the Indians, who were scheduled to come to New Hampton Monday night for a Class 2A district game, kept making it interesting.
