Sinkholes are becoming a problem for homeowners Pat and Richard Crooks on Lakeshore Drive.Although work was done to try to fix the issue after the 2008 floods, last month’s torrential rainfall caused more problems.The Crookses told the City Council Monday night that a 12-foot pole was used to measure the amount of “sinking” and only about 4 feet of the pole remained.“Whatever it takes,” said Crooks about the work that needs to be done and he added that he is worried about the neighbor children getting injured while playing in the area.There are two ways to fix this problem, according to Water Superintendent Jeff Smith.— For more on this story, see the Oct. 6 Reporter
