Dazzling Dairy Days

Lead Summary

This year’s Dairy Days celebration was different from the last few years with officials deciding to move the celebration back downtown, just off Main Street.
Dairy Day Board member Austin Niewoehner said it was overall a great year and a great move.
“We have gotten lots of compliments from vendors and businesses,” he said.
One challenge this year was with the ride vendor the Dairy Day board regularly uses. The vendor told the board they would be unable to attend with just two weeks notice.
But Niewoehner said things turned out all right with another vendor stepping up and working with the Dairy Day Board. The board is already working with them for next year’s celebration as well.
“Change is good,” said Niewoehner. He said many businesses and community members liked having the celebration downtown and Niewoehner felt there were more people attending the coronation celebration with the parade ending right near the stage as well.
“We have had no complaints from people living right here,” said Niewoehner happily. “For the most part it went as planned.”
