Duane G. Kellogg, age 82, of Fredericksburg, IA, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Linn Haven Rehab and Healthcare in New Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton with Loren Skaw and Matthew Jensen presiding. 
Burial will be at Alcock Cemetery in Frederika, IA.
Visitation will be from 4:00-700 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Conway- Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton and will continue at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.

Duane George was born on April 8, 1937 to Judson and Lucille (Haynes) Kellogg in Osage, IA.  He attended and graduated from East High in Waterloo, IA. 
After completing his education, Duane enlisted in the US Marine Corps, where he was stationed at 29 Palms, CA. 
Duane returned home on a weekend leave where he was united in marriage to Olive Ann Wetmur on February 17, 1957 in Independence, IA.  The couple returned to California for the remainder of his time in service. 
The couple made Iowa their home in 1958, where they welcomed their children, Laurie, Douglas, Lorne, Carolyn, and David. 
Duane was employed with Nestle until his retirement.  Olive Ann passed away in 1999.  Duane later married Helen Patten in 2003.  The couple resided in Fredericksburg until Duane entered the nursing home in 2018. 
Duane enjoyed cutting wood, playing the harmonica and was an avid reader.  He loved his children, grandchildren and his dogs.  Duane especially enjoyed being outdoors, and feeding the birds and squirrels.  In 1966, Duane and Ollie began to follow a nondenominational Christian group.  He was a man of strong faith and convictions in his pursuit of following Jesus.
Duane is survived by his wife, Helen Kellogg of Fredericksburg, IA; children, Laurie Hayzlett of Lamont, IA, Douglas (Gloria) Kellogg of Edmond, OK, Lorne (Cindy) Kellogg of Greenville, TX, Carolyn Martin of Desoto, TX, and David (Eileen) Kellogg of Cooper, TX; and foster child, Danny Volbruck of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Samantha, Nate, Daniel, Laura, Leslie, Alana, Joseph, Adrianna, and Kaitlin; his stepchildren, Brenda (Ralph) Larson, Marlys (Doug) Swenson, LuAnn Patten and Charlotte Wright; his sister, Marlene Pendleton of Paris, TX and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Olive Ann; daughter, Annette Marie, and granddaughter, Rebecca.
