Experienced New Hampton softball team seeks conference title, state trip

With its top six hitters back - all seniors -  after a 23-15 record last season, New Hampton softball coach Jack Seelhammer has some lofty expectations for this year’s squad.
“We have eight seniors, lots of kids back from last year,” he said. “We are hoping to have a good season. We want to win conference and go to state.”
The eight seniors are the largest group he has ever coached. Seelhammer believes their experience will be crucial to having a prosperous season.
