Finding plenty to like

Lead Summary

The Nashua-Plainfield boys basketball team showed its coach just as much in a loss last week as they did in a 31-point victory.
The Huskies dropped a 50-38 Top of Iowa East Division game to Osage on Friday in a game that was much closer than the final score indicated and then turned around Saturday and used a blistering start to roll past Clarksville 61-30 in a non-conference game.
“We really believe that if we play our game that we can play with teams at the top of the conference,” Brown said. “We were in that [Osage] game until about 40 seconds left when we had to start fouling to try and make up a few points. Our guys played really well and didn’t back down.  A lot of the game is playing with heart and we have guys that go on there and put it on the line every night.”
