Delores J. Immermann, age 92 of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, Mar. 9, 2017, at the New Hampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Mar. 14, 2017, at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Rev. Ken Glaser presiding. Readers will be Amy Conlon, Stacie Schockemoehl, Missy Birkey and Sarah Olson. Ann Bennett will be the organist accompanying Diane Sumner and Fr. Ken Glaser singing, "Just A Closer Walk With Thee", "Beyond The Moon And Stars" and "Song Of Farewell".Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg with Eric Conlon, Erick Schockemoehl, Travis Birkey, Ryan Olson, Jerry Schmudlack and Roger Schmudlack as pallbearers.Friends may greet the family beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Online condolences for Delores' family may be left at hugebackfuneralhome.comDelores Jeanette Immermann was born October 26, 1924, in Fredericksburg, Iowa the daughter of Martin and Evelyn (Honeyman) DeBettignies. She received her education in a one-room school house near Fredericksburg. On Dec. 27, 1950, in New Hampton, she married Kored Immermann. The couple lived most of their married life in Fredericksburg. Delores had retired from the former Oliver (White Farm) in Charles City where she worked as a secretary for over 30 years. Delores enjoyed spending time with her nephews and families. Dairy Days was always a favorite for Delores. She especially enjoyed the barbeque chicken luncheon where she would help as hostess. She always spent the summer helping her sister cleaning hundreds of chickens as well as gardening. She was a member of St. Frederick’s Catholic Church where she was an active volunteer. Following the closing of St. Frederick’s, she became a member of Holy Family Parish in New Hampton. She became a resident of the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in 2007.Left to cherish her memory are her nephews, Dan (Diane) Sumner of New Hampton, Jerry (Betty) Schmudlach and Roger Schmudlach, all of Fredericksburg; a cousin, Marj Eisele of Sumner; several great-nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kored in 1992; sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Merrill Sumner; a nephew, Darryl Sumner.
