TV against Trip, again

Lead Summary

When the Turkey Valley volleyball season ends, most of the Trojan athletes will turn to basketball. But for Brooke Herold, volleyball is it.    "Yea, it was kind of emotional, knowing this will be my last time playing in a TV jersey here," said the senior after the regional opener held at Turkey Valley.    But at least it was a win, something that's been in short supply during the 9-21 season. And the outcome was never in doubt, as the Lady Trojan rolled over Riceville in straight sets.    "What a wonderful night for my seniors' last game ever in their home gym," coach Tammy Vrzak began. Along with Herold, Kailey Steinlage, Kayla Gebel and Morgen Kuennen played in their final volleyball match at home.   More on the Trojan win may be found in the Oct. 21 Tribune.
