Lillian L. Hausman, 96, of Onawa, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.A funeral mass was10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at St. John's Catholic Church in Onawa, with Father Michael Erpelding, Celebrant, officiating. Burial was in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 with a scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.Lillian Louise was born Sept. 7, 1919 in Turin, Iowa the daughter of Sigurd and Agnes (Hansen) Hansen. She graduated from Onawa Public High School in 1937.Lillian and Harold W. Hausman were united in marriage on April 22, 1941 in Onawa, Iowa. Seven children were born to this union, David, Allen, Marvin, Ronald, Donna, Ann, and Mary. Harold passed away on October 1, 2005 in Onawa.Lillian worked as a telephone operator and housekeeper. Her number one priority was being wife and mother to all of her family whom she loved to spend time with.Lillian was a 4-H leader to many children in the Onawa area. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.Survivors include her children, David (Gloria) Hausman of Onawa, Allen (Nouella) Hausman of Onawa, Marvin (Jill) Hausman of Onawa, Ronald (Cindy) Hausman of Onawa, Donna (Irv) Seitz of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ann (Jim) Bennett of New Hampton, and Mary (Steve) Citta of Cedar Falls; twenty- five grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace McHarg and Clara Ballew both of Camarillo, Calif; and many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Sigurd and Agnes Hansen; husband, Harold W. Hausman; two sisters, Opal Atherton and Ano Wilkins; three brothers, Dale Hansen, Clayton Hansen, and LeRoy Hansen; and one infant great-grandson, Conner McShane.Condolences may be left online for the family at www.rushfamilycareservice.com
