Mary Ann Esquivel dies at 68

Mary Ann Esquivel of Las Vegas NV and formerly of Lawler passed away July 8, 2017. 
She was born December 18, 1948 in Postville, the daughter of Reuben and Vernice (Engle) Svendsen.  She graduated from Turkey Valley Community High School in 1965 and moved to Las Vegas in 1970.  Mary Ann loved spending time with her family and she enjoyed doing crafts and listening to music on her computer. 
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Julio Esquivel; her three children, Damon (Yolanda) Butler, Melissa (Bart) Gallia and Michelle Gallucci; three siblings, Dianne and Jack Blazek of Lawler, Beverly Frey of Mason City, and LeAllyn (Bert) and Cindy Svendsen of Steamboat Spring Colo; Six grandchildren, D’Angelo Butler, Jordan Butler, Austin Gallucci, Andi Gallucci, Maddox Gallia and Allyah Gallia; and two great-grandchildren, Rylie Butler and Ahmir Butler. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rueben (1989) and Vernice (2016); her sister Marcia Howell (2002) and brothers-in-law Bob Howell (2005), and Jerry Frey (2016).
Mary Ann will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S Jones Blvd, Las Vegas NV.  Please sign the guestbook at www.palmmortuary.com.  Cards may be sent to Julio Esquivel, 5921 Halifax Ave., Las Vegas NV  89107.
