Millage commits to UNI

Lead Summary

Michael Millage found the right fit, and now he can just focus on his senior year at New Hampton High School.
The two-time state champion committed to wrestling at the University of Northern Iowa on Wednesday morning.
“To me, it was just the right place with the right coaches,” said Millage, the defending Class 2A 126-pound state champion. “I know those coaches are committed to making me the best man possible — both on and off the mat — and I can’t ask for much more than that.”
Millage became the second New Hampton wrestler to commit to coach Doug Schwab’s Panthers in the past two years.
Keaton Geerts, who won two state titles at New Hampton, is entering his freshman year at the Cedar Falls school.
