N-P cross country runners shine at Osage

Lead Summary

The veterans on the Nashua-Plainfield cross country teams have run the Osage Invitational course for years now.You could say that they know it like the back of their hand, and if you need proof, look at last week’s meet in which they seriously cut their times from a year ago.“They have run the course since middle school,” Nashua-Plainfield coach Jennifer Kalainoff said, “so knowing where they are at and when the end is near really gives them an edge.”On the girls side, Emma Sinnwell cut more than two minutes off her 2015 Osage Invitational time, Hannah Chambers shaved more than a 1:30 and Kaylee Eick had a 43-second drop while on the boys side, Caleb Lines cut more than 90 seconds off his time.“It was a great meet for our veteran runners,” Kalainoff said. “All season we have talked about running competitive and I saw a lot of that in the Osage meet.” For the rest of the story, please see the Sept. 22 Reporter.
