N-P parades to line in Top of Iowa win

Lead Summary

He may have liked to have seen a little bit better shooting percentage, but make no mistake about it, Nashua-Plainfield boys basketball coach Sam Brown loved watching his team march to the free-throw line Saturday.
That ability to get to the line — 45 times, no less — was huge as the Huskies sandwiched a 73-49 win around losses to West Fork and Saint Ansgar in a busy four-day stretch.
“We talk about how if we can get into the bonus early it can totally take a team out of their game plan,” Brown said. “We can slow down their defense, and make them play less aggressively, which is always in the offensive teams best interest.  Free throws are just such a huge part of the game, and especially that night.”
