New Hampton duo takes fourth at state coed golf

Lead Summary

The state coed golf tournament prides itself on being a relaxed affair, but just after “making the turn” on Tuesday, New Hampton’s Ryan Anderson and Allison Nuss decided maybe they were too relaxed.
“We kind of looked at each other and said we’re going to go big or we’re going to go home,” Anderson said, “and we kind of got it going after that.”
And thanks to a strong finish, New Hampton for a second consecutive year had a top-five finish at the state coed as Anderson and Nuss finished fourth with a 77.  A second New Hampton duo — Aden Zwanziger and Morgan Nuss — finished 21st at this year’s meet with an 85.
Details on the meet may be found in the June 8 Tribune.
