New soccer program on hold

Lead Summary

For the first time in school history, New Hampton is scheduled have a co-ed high school soccer team this spring. Shannon Stewart - first-year guidance councilor at the high school - is the coach of this squad, and she is excited for this inaugural season.
Stewart started participating in soccer in kindergarten while growing up in Waverly. She competed on both recreational and club teams during her youth.
The sport is popular within the Waverly-Shell Rock school district. Stewart was an integral part of a multitude of successful Go-Hawk girls soccer teams while in high school before graduating in 2012.
