NH girls gain valuable experience at Dickinson

Lead Summary

In 2019, the New Hampton girls track team’s first meet was on March 12. However, after traveling to the University of Northern Iowa for the Dickinson Relays last Monday, March 9, the Chickasaws have already competed in their second competition this year.
“We were very happy with the way the girls performed,” NH girls track coach Jeanette Laures said. “In years past, we usually haven’t competed at all yet. It’s exciting to see that many of our times are ahead of where they usually are.”
This event held in the UNI-Dome included participants from a plethora of schools of all different sizes from across the state. And while the competition was fierce, Laures believes it was great experience for her girls.
