Quintet of Chickasaws claim all-state honors

Lead Summary

A whopping five Chickasaw golfers claimed all-state selections in Class 2A by the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association. For the state champion New Hampton girls’ team, Allison Nuss, Morgan Nuss and Emma Ewert were all first team selections, while Ryan Anderson was first team and Wyatt Stochl was second-team on the boys’ side.
Allison ranked first in Class 2A in nine hole stroke average at 38.89. This was over two strokes better than second best Kylie Carey of Van Meter. Allison’s dedication to improving every day is a major aspect of her success.
“I play in a lot of tournaments over the summer. Some of them have been at places where we have had postseason meets which is extremely helpful,” she said. “I putt over 100 putts every night. I hit a lot during the winter, whether it’s at the new golf studio or the CWC. I guess for me, golf season is year round.”
