Turkey Valley’s Kylie Wurzer bumps the ball into the air against MFL-Mar-Mac at a triangular in New Hampton last Tuesday.

TV falls in season-opening triangular

The Turkey Valley volleyball team fell to both MFL-Mar-Mac and New Hampton in their season-opening games on Tuesday at a triangular in New Hampton.

The contest against MFL-Mar-Mac was tight throughout, as the Trojans were bested 3-2 in five sets.

“MFL swept us in three sets last season, so it was refreshing to open with a gritty performance in a rotation that is still developing to say the least,” coach Ethan Adams said. “We had great performances from a lot of girls individually, but what stood out to me was how we were able to play together as six or seven girls, and participate in the match as 15 girls, including the bench.”
