Superheroes shine in opener

Lead Summary

The floor was full of superheroes at Turkey Valley Tuesday. And not just because of the impressive 57-18 win the Trojan girls opened the season with over Clayton Ridge.
Turkey Valley’s girls chose a service project this year for participating in the Iowa Hall of Pride Challenge, and that was to help a TV student, Parker Poor, to defray medical expenses.
“Parker is a classmate to the seniors, our superhero, and we wanted to bring attention to the upcoming benefit that is being held for him and his family in January,” said coach Carla Nymeyer.
