‘Tired’ Chickasaws run well at Osage

Lead Summary

After a multitude of runners posted the best time of their career two weeks ago, the athletes for the New Hampton cross country team saw their times drop at the Osage Invitational last Tuesday in the lone meet the Chickasaws participated at.
However, tired legs may have been the cause for this, as it was the team’s third meet in an eight-day span.
“Overall, we ran fairly well,” interim head coach Kristy Manson said. “It was really warm and humid the first few races of the evening. By the time the varsity ran, it was a bit cooler.”
