Trapshooters show off their depth

Lead Summary

The New Hampton trapshooting team showed off its depth of talent last week in a trio of meets. While it’s no secret New Hampton Red has been the Chickasaws’ best squad all year, some other groups proved to be a force as well.
“We have a lot of kids that have developed consistent scores, consistently high scores,” New Hampton trapshooting coach Jay Matthews said.
The Red quintet claimed first place at Cedar Falls Gun Club on Saturday. Their score of 242 was eight points better than runner-up Turkey Valley.
