Trojan shooters solid in opening week

Lead Summary

When Turkey Valley's trapshooters opened their season at Boyd Thursday, they were not only taking on Waverly-Shell Rock, but a New Hampton team that was competing in their third meet of the season.  Although the Chickasaws swept the top squad honors and the top spots on the boys side, Emily Luzum was able to insert herself among the top girl shooters, breaking New Hampton's string of consecutive sweeps.  TV Black had the best squad score of the day for the Trojans with a 184, led by a 43 by Carter Reicks. Luzum shot the same number of targets for the second-best girls' score of the day.  The rest of the story may be found in the April 11 Tribune.
