Turkey Valley places four on eight-man football teams

Lead Summary

Most teams are fortunate to have one or two all-state football selections, but after an undefeated regular season and a trip to the state semifinals, the Turkey Valley football program had four individuals — all seniors — honored as all-state players in Eight-Man.
The lone individual to be named to the first team was Ethan Leibold. After being tabbed as the Offensive MVP in the District, Leibold achieved all-state honors on the opposite side of the football as a defensive lineman. He repeats as an all-state nominee after being selected to the second team as a defensive lineman in 2018.
“The all-state award honestly doesn’t mean as much to me as our team accomplishments,” Leibold said. “I am honored to receive this award, but it wouldn’t have happened without the success of our team.”
